One of many authors who are known for writing Christian fiction would be C.S. Lewis. You may have read one his books, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Christianity and the supernatural or fantasy do not mix. However, Lewis uses his imagination to re-imagine stories from the Bible. For example, when Aslan died and later was resurrected, it reflects Jesus' resurrection story. [1]
C.S. Lewis was not always a Christian. In fact, it took another writer, J.R.R. Tolkien to show him the difference between myth and fact. In September 1931, Lewis challenged the theory of how Someone who died 2000 years ago can help and save us now? Tolkien explained that this is a true myth. He continued to state that this was imaginative failure on Lewis' part. After the discussion, Lewis began to read about myths of dying and reviving god and was moved. [2]
